December- News From The Pews

Welcome to our newsletter and with December already here, we want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. Tis the season to begin preparing our hearts and our homes for the celebration surrounding the birth of our Lord and Savior. As many of you have already seen, our church has been adorned with many reminders of His coming Birth. We have set all our cherished ornaments and decorations into their proper settings. We have also been focusing in on the excitement and joy that this day of His birth brings. Jesus is truly the focus of this season, and His gift of salvation is the greatest gift any of us can ever receive. Wow! What an amazing God who personally came down to earth to make sure we knew that we are loved and wanted. It is such an exciting time of year.

We are also very excited to be preparing for the new year and all the opportunities we have to grow together. We have new Bible studies that we are planning on starting up early in the year. We will be exploring spiritual gifts and how we can use them in our daily lives. Along with the Bible studies, we are also beginning to look at opportunities to bring our church family together and have a time of fellowship and fun. That’s right, it is soup supper time again at Bethel. We will not only be sharing a good bowl of soup, but also some good company with those who are able to attend. More details to come, so keep your eye on the calendar.

Some have even heard that the pastor has plans of having a wintertime cookout. Burgers, dogs, and perhaps even a few games of cornhole or bullseye bucket will be played as we fellowship together. It is bound to be a good time, so keep your ears and eyes open as more news is sure to come in future “News From The Pews”.
