March- News From The Pews

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

Welcome to another installment of our monthly newsletter. This month we have once again lots to talk about; so, let’s get started! First things first, our Bible study on spiritual gifts will be coming to an end this month, and it has been an amazing discovery of what our individual gifts are and how and where we are most suited to use them. God provides the time, talent, resources, and of course the opportunities within our lives to use those God-given spiritual gifts to glorify Him and to serve others. There have been so many insights and wonderful discoveries going through this series, but just as this study comes to an end, another will begin. In April we will be starting a new Bible study, so be sure to watch for more information to be coming soon.

We also had a big turnout for Donuts and Discussion, a Saturday morning conversation around the current topics that our world faces. We had Christians from four different churches gathered, sharing how to lovingly address the moral issues that the world and the church face daily. So many of these topics are being ignored by Christians because they feel ill-equipped to enter into conversations with others. 2nd Timothy 4:2 tells us that we must be prepared whether the time is favorable or not, to patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage others with good teaching. The biggest mistake we can make as Christians is to believe that being quiet is being loving. So be prepared, be bold, and be loving by joining us at the next Donuts and Discussion as we seek God’s understanding of what is good and moral when it comes to today’s current topics.

We want to make sure to invite you to join us for the scrapbooking this month. Gather up your pictures, your crafts, and your creative talent and plan on joining the other scrap bookers on Saturday, March 18th (9-4).

There is also a church wintertime cookout to enjoy this month. Come and enjoy fellowship, fun, food, and family friendly games in our fellowship hall. Saturday, March 25th (12-4pm) burgers, dogs, chips, and lots of fun are all on the menu, so mark your calendars today.

Looking to upcoming events for next month, we have not only a sunrise Easter Service coming, but also a new family ministry in the works. We will begin to start “Family Night” at the church in April. We will be gathering on Wednesday nights and combining a youth group with our Bible studies. We will begin a youth group for children ages 6-12 years old. This way moms and dads can enjoy growing in their relationship with God as their kids also come and grow in their faith. Be blessed and as always, keep your eyes open for more-
