October- News From The Pews

Welcome to another edition of our church newsletter. We have lots to cover in this edition so let’s dive into the latest happenings here at Bethel Church. Since our last edition in May we have had new members join, so be sure to welcome all the new faces we have sitting in the pews. Along with new members, we also had several individuals participate in the Baptism service at Two Mile Run Park. A truly exciting step in which an outward confession was made of an inward change. It is truly exciting to see God working in the Church family and to know His Holy Spirit is on the move in the hearts of so many. Praise God and Amen!

We have also started our Wednesday Night Bible studies back up and added a youth group to it for kids ages 6-12. We call this Family Night, and we encourage you to come and invite a friend or two to join us every Wednesday night 6-7:30pm.

This month we are looking forward to filling our Christmas Shoe boxes. Please see your bulletin for a list of items that are needed and if you would like to take a box or two to fill on your own, please feel free to take some from the front foyer area.

This month we will also be looking at hosting a movie night here at the church. Be sure to put in your request for the movie you would like to see. Of course, we will be having snacks and treats to go along with the movie. So be sure to keep an eye on the bulletin or on the website as more details are sure to come.

Also be sure to watch for more details on the use of our gymnasium. We are looking to start up our basketball nights and perhaps some other fun activities as well. It has been a few months since our last event, and some have speculated that this is because it took this long for the Pastor to recover. He has offered up no comment thus far, but has been seen practicing hard with the kids soccer team he and Mandy coach. Please stay tuned as more details emerge and we once again move our fun activities inside as fall quickly approaches.
